Everyone deserves to feel safe in their own neighborhood. I’ll work to prevent crime, improve public spaces, and strengthen community partnerships.

✔️ Increase lighting, patrols, and coordination with local officers.

✔️ Transform vacant lots and buildings into active, safer spaces.

✔️ Address the stray animal crisis with humane, proactive solutions.

Our streets, sidewalks, and transit should work for everyone. I’ll fight for smarter planning and real investment in District 1’s infrastructure.

✔️ Secure more funding to fix potholes and sidewalks.

✔️ Improve coordination to prevent unnecessary street closures.

✔️ Support transit projects that benefit neighborhoods and small businesses.

Affordable housing isn’t just a goal—it’s a necessity. I’ll push for innovative solutions that make it easier to build and keep housing affordable.

✔️ Expand programs to develop diverse housing on vacant lots.

✔️ Partner with churches and nonprofits to repurpose underutilized properties.

✔️ Create an ADU loan fund to help homeowners build casitas and backyard apartments.

Small businesses keep our city moving forward. I’ll make sure they have the resources, support, and investment they need to thrive.

✔️ Activate vacant buildings to create affordable commercial spaces.

✔️ Focus on neighborhood-level economic development instead of catering only to big corporations.

Great cities have great downtowns, and great downtowns have great diversity. I'll ensure every resident feels welcome in their own downtown.

Our leaders should be accountable, transparent, and responsive. I’ll ensure District 1 has a council team that listens and delivers results.

✔️ Set clear goals for neighborhoods and meet regularly with community leaders.
